Go From Idea to Book in 4 Easy Steps (without spending months or thousands of $ on creating a book)
I've been using a 4 step process to create a book for years.
I finally decided to name it, Mini Book Self Publishing Model.
Here is the PROBLEM.
Most new authors focus so much on knowing how to do the last 2 parts of creating a book they never even get an outline done.
There are only 4 things you need to do to go from book “idea” to making money and building a business with your book.
• Prepping
• Penning
• Publishing
• Promoting
PREPPING
If you properly prep a book you can create a mini book in days... not months!
This includes,
1. Figuring Out the Promise to the Reader (Title, Subtitle, Cover)
2. Choosing an Easy to Follow Outline (W’s, Sequential, 10 Problems)
3. Choosing 3 Main Points Per Chapter
4. Sub Points Per Point
PENNING
This is what most people think about when writing a book, but I think of it as just connecting the dots.
This includes,
1. Opening 1-3-1 Sentence Per Chapter/Point
2. 2x 1-3-1 Per Sub Point
3. Concluding Sentence Per Sub Point/Chapter
4. Conclusion THEN Introduction Chapter When Chapters are Finished
PUBLISHING
Most people lose their minds over this stuff... it isn’t that hard once your book is done.
This includes,
1. Putting your Manuscript Into Atticus to Format in Less Than 1hr
2. USing Chat GPT for Basic Editing
3. Creating a Book Blurb/Description
4. Choosing 7 Keywords & 3 Categories (you can become a best seller for)
5. Upload Your Cover & Manuscript
6. Choose a Price ($0.99 if First Book Until...)
PROMOTING
Having a book is GREAT, but no one will read it. I’m sorry that’s mean. What I’m trying to say is no one will read it if you don’t tell anyone about it.
This includes,
1. Discounted Pricing
2. Bookbub Ads
3. Social Media Promotion
4. Email List Launch
5. Book Promo Email Lists
This is the entire process I’ll be going deep into the weeds on in this newsletter.
I hope you’ll stick around as I continue to unpack the mini book creation process.
Love that PDF! Too bad it's not printable... will eat all my remaining ink :D
I could make a printable version, thanks for the advice. I'm updating the name to the Mini Book Creation Model so I'll redo the graphic with a printable version.
