How to Know If You’re Ready to Write a Book
Hey Revenue Writers,
I have so many people reaching out asking me about writing a book, some even buying coaching sessions, and then a year or more later… still nothing.
It only takes 28 hours or less to write a Mini Book… so why don’t they?
They don’t think they are ready.
They are debating their niche, topic, and customer.
They haven’t seen a clear signal from the market that they nailed the messaging.
They think it’ll take too long so they are afraid to commit and fail. (even just to themselves)
This and any number of other reasons stop smart business owners and creators from writing a book.
So how do you know if the reasons in your head are just excuses or if they are legitimate.
When are you ready to write a book?
How to Know You Are Ready to Write a Book
The reality is almost EVERYONE is ready to write a book of some kind.
It may not make you famous.
It may not even make your $$$.
But the act of creating one reveals so much about you and empowers you to do it over and over again.
My first book, Hail Adjuster’s Playbook, got peoples attention but didn’t really make me any $$$.
But it didn’t teach me that I could write a book, that I could find readers, and that they actually enjoyed the book!
So I wrote another one to answer all the questions I kept getting after writing the 2nd book… and that 2nd one, the Independent Adjuster’s Playbook, took off.
Here is how you know you are ready.
You have identified who you were in the past (for it was a new independent adjuster)
You know a big problem you and others like this past you, face. (for me it was how to get work)
You have a point of view of how they can solve their problem (it should be the same way you did or how you’d do it now knowing more)
THATS IT.
